Make sure you have these downloads on your computer before starting:
- On your phone, go Settings > Applications and make sure Unknown Sources is on.
- Then Settings > SD Card and Phone Storage > Unmount SD Card then Format SD Card Make Sure You Backup your SD Card First as this will wipe it!
- Plug your phone into your computer and mount the SD Card.
- Copy the Recovery Image to the root of your SD card (i.e. not in any folders)
- Open the flashrec app that you installed earlier and tap 'Backup Recovery' (if you get an error here then it means you haven't downgraded)
- Once that has done, in the box above, type /sdcard/recovery.img and then tap 'Flash Custom Recovery Image'
- When that's done, turn off your phone and turn it back on again with power and home down.
- If you see a load of black green text on a black background and 'Android system recovery' at the top, You're done!
- Now go to step 3 to load a custom ROM or you will not have root!
